Grappling – No gi
Grappling dates back to the beginning of mankind, not as we know it today (Olympic Wrestling, Submission Wrestling…), but in the context of war and combat.
Different forms of grappling exist throughout the world, but all grappling arts share the goal of self-improvement in regards to body and mind.
“I am a shark, the ground is my ocean, and most people can’t even swim.”
Grappling is a mix between Olympic wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in which we can use all the techniques from both sports. The purpose of this style is to beat your opponent by using throws, submissions or chokes.
We use to do Grappling classes every day during summer, so we reduce the grappling hours during winter. Our courses are structured as follows: We begin by preparing our bodies for the session by warming up and performing various specific movements and drills, and then start one of our cardio or strength circuits. Then we start with the technical training, followed by live sparring in pairs.
