Kickboxing is a contact sport of Japanese origin in which boxing techniques are mixed with kicks from Kyokushin, Karate, Taekwondo, Kung Fu or Thai Boxing. Kickboxing is not considered a traditional martial art, but rather a combat sport.
“True strength is not always demonstrated with victory, get up trying again and demonstrate strength of spirit.”
Kickboxing is an aerobic sport that helps to increase physical endurance, cardio, agility, flexibility, reflexes, and balance, and gives us a sense of security and confidence. It also reduces stress. The kickboxing classes are offered every day during the morning, afternoon and evening hours during the ‘Strike’ slot. Our courses are structured as follows: We begin to prepare our bodies for the session by warming up and stretching, then we begin drilling kickboxing techniques. We continue with live sparring or hitting the punching bag, and conclude with circuit training and stretching.
